Pandemic Week 162-163: Soccer Season & Girl Scout Gathering
Anna & her Girl Scout Troop |
- Anna started her instructor driver training this past week. She needs to complete a total of 14 hours with an instructor, who can issue a provisional license if he passes her (no driver's test but rather an on-going evaluation).
- Anna's girl scout troop got together to celebrate her friend
Maggie's Gold Award. It was great to see all the girls together and reminisce about all the troop activities. You can check out the Troop Video with some great photos over the years. - Anna and Theresa got the compost spread in the garden plot and the new fence ready for Joe to install. This year we are trying to be more strategic in the use of our space (after studying the success of neighboring gardeners). So far, the lettuce is in.
Garden Prep - Theresa held her first all-in person event for her work team on April 25-26. This was a first since the pandemic and the first time many new employees met their co-workers in person. There may be many more future opportunities as it appears Federal employees are on the cusp of having more in-person time required.
- Anna & Theresa enjoyed the Ayr Hill garden walk on April 30. This is a chance to wander around gardens in the historic district of Vienna. Fortunately, there was a break in the rain to enjoy the wet gardens (the best one had a waterfall built into their hill).
Theresa and Anna continue to watch rescue sites looking for a new dog. The search continues for one that is acceptable to all family members.
Happy end of April!
