Pandemic Week 45: Happy Birthday Joe & Welcome President Biden!
Italian food for dinner |
The other big event of the week was the inauguration of President Biden. DC was an armed camp following the riots at the Capitol, so everyone was holding their breath for events on January 20. Fortunately we witnessed the peaceful transition of power. Anna was off school and Theresa was off work, so we watched everything on tv. It was a historic day.
In other news of the week:- Anna and Theresa got some skating practice on MLK day in the garage (they are looking forward to going outside when the weather is warmer).
- High school swim team concluded for Anna (she is still swimming with her club). It was a short season and she got to swim in two meets. The team now moves to the district meet this week (the girls are undefeated). Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, only half the team can go to a meet so part of the team is done for the season. We will still be cheering them on via livestream.
- Anna was the first one to successfully use the air fryer. She made egg rolls.
- We broke open the monopoly game. This is clearly going to be a multiple night effort.
This week has the potential for snow. We will see what happens, including whether virtual school is still in (you never know around here).
