Pandemic Week 36: The COVID Cut & Silver Award
Anna's new haircut |
The other big news was that Anna completed the work for her Girl Scout Silver Award. This requires doing a community service project with a minimum of 50 volunteer hours. Anna's project was organizing the Lakevale Candy Launch for Halloween. She finished her video today (you can check it out HERE) and submitted her paperwork. This was a great neighborhood event that hopefully will continue in the future.
Other activities for the week including:
- Continuing the leaf raking. Storm spent Saturday afternoon in the yard with the family supervising the leaf pick-up.
- A late Sunday afternoon hike at Bull Run regional park. This was memorable for several reasons. First, we found a new trail. Second, there was gun fire in the background throughout the hike (there is a shooting range near by). Finally, we got to enjoy the Christmas light display at the park. They have a drive-through display each year. Since we arrived at the end of the afternoon, they were testing the lights before we left.
- The neighbors across the street mostly moved back in. They have been out since the first at their house on March 5.
Happy Thanksgiving week!
