Pandemic Week 23: Camp Grandma & Grandpa - Week 2

Driving lessons with Grandpa

Week two at Grandma & Grandpa's was another fun filled week for Anna.  Her activities included:
  • More jewelry making
  • Canning tomato juice
  • A breakfast out and shopping trip with Grandma and her friend Mary Lou
  • Sewing masks (Grandma found a new pattern)
  • Fishing
  • Riding bikes around town with Grandma and Grandpa
  • Driving practice with Grandpa

Anna had a great time with her grandparents.....so much so that she called and asked if she could extend another week.  Alas, it was not to be as she needed to return to Virginia to prepare for virtual school, which means picking up her school laptop in person.

Joe and Theresa made their way across the mountains for a long weekend to visit the grandparents and pick up Anna.  They decided to take a different way, traveling the Pennsylvania and Ohio turnpike.  Along the way, they stopped at Cuyahoga Valley National Park - a gorgeous place they had never been.  They also discovered a delicious Lebanese take-out place for lunch outside of Akron, Ohio before heading to Paulding.

It was a lovely weekend to visit Ohio.  Joe and Theresa enjoyed biking around town and were even treated to a ride around the fairgrounds.....with Anna driving.  There was lots of fresh produce from the garden for dinner.  School started in Paulding during the week - in-person, so there was lots of discussion about that.  It was a nice getaway for everyone.

A BIG thank you to grandma and grandpa for two good weeks.  Who knows......depending on how long school is out, Anna may bring her laptop and show up on your doorstep again soon.
