Happy Veteran's Day Grandpa!

Is this Grandma's real height?
Anna enjoyed a four-day weekend over Veteran's Day (always a good time to schedule parent-teacher conferences).  Since that was the case, the family decided to catch a flight to Ohio for the weekend to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with Grandma's family.  An added bonus was that everyone could celebrate Veteran's Day with Grandpa.

The first stop of the trip was Uncle Tim's house.  Cousin Aidyn got a kitten in the fall and was quite excited to show off Charger.  Joe, who has no great affinity for cats, was greeted by Charger who decided to conduct a full leap onto Joe's chest while he was watching TV.  Joe got a similar greeting the next night at Grandma's house when her new cat also pounced on him.  Somehow, they seem to know......

The rest of the weekend was spent catching up with Theresa's cousins and enjoying a large Thanksgiving meal.  Joe got to try out Grandpa's new high-power, battery-operated leaf blower as he and Theresa helped pick up leaves.  Anna always has a great time catching up with her grandparents.....and watching a lot of extra TV.  It was a quick trip, but a nice visit.

Other November highlights included the end of the soccer season (it was a rough one, but the girls improved a lot....especially for their first season playing on a full field) and a very quick fall, thanks to all of the rain earlier.  The family did manage to get out and enjoy one non-rainy day at Riverbend Park.  Storm even got to go on this walk- and was quite excited at that.  Happy Fall!
