Lakevale Dolphins 2016 Division V Swim Champions

Anna & Megan Another swim season has come to an end and with impressive results for Anna's neighborhood swim team, the Lakevale Dolphins.  This year's team went 5-0 to win the division title in an undefeated season (including one thrilling meet that came down to the last two events to decide the winner).  There were lots of changes for Anna this year, including: Anna competing in butterfly Moving up to the 9-10 age group.  This meant that instead of swimming 25 meters (one length of the pool), she now had to do 50 meters (two lengths of the pool , including a flip turn).  Let's just say that Anna was in VERY good swim shape by the end of the season. A new head coach (Sam) and assistant coach(Ally).  Anna loved coach Ally. Celebrating Aunt Lucy & Aunt Terri's Wedding

Aunt Terri & Aunt Lucy Anna and family left the rainy and stormy July 4th weather in Washington (sort of symbolic given the election year) and headed north to sunny Massachusetts for the holiday weekend.  The occasion:  celebrating the wedding of Aunt Lucy and Terri. Since it was a holiday weekend, the first challenge was finding a dog sitter for Storm. Actually, since this is our first family dog the entire process of figuring out what to do was new.  Many of those that had offered to help were out of town, but fortunately our neighbor had a great recommendation.  Storm got a mini-vacation with Sam & Ivy the dog sitters.  He was also joined by our neighbor's dog, so he had a good time.  With Storm in good hands, it was off to Massachusetts.
