Ms. Be's Vacation: Week2
We did it (to quote Dora the Explorer)! Ms. Be returned from her European trip and Anna was very excited to go back to see her friends today. Thanks to Anna's grandparents (both from Ohio and locally), we managed to keep her entertained while Ms. Be was away.
Anna spent last Monday and Tuesday with her Washington grandparents - Anna and Charley, who planned two full days of activities. They took Anna to the swimming pool and to the gym. On the second day, they took her to visit Santa Claus at the mall where Anna was happy to sit on his lap and tell him that she wants "Rosie the Train" for Christmas. She then went to the playground at the mall followed by lunch. In between, they read books, sang songs, and colored among other things.
Wednesday and Thursday were spent with Mom, which included some Christmas shopping along with a visit to Pauletta and 2-week old Baby Grayson. There was also some cookie baking and a visit from Anna's friend Sara who lives down the street. Friday it was Dad's day, which of course meant a long visit to Home Depot. Anna informed her Mom that they got "this and that."
Last Saturday was the big Santa train ride, thanks to Anna's friend Nayima and her grandmother. It seems that the Virginia Rail Express has a train ride with Santa and Mrs. Claus every year. Anna's friends Isabel and Anthony also came along for the ride. They had a great time. Anna was more excited about the candy cane than Santa and asked why Santa was not in the "big purple chair" at the mall. Santa gets around.
A big thanks to all the grandparents that helped out. Rest assured that you did a fantastic grandparent job of spoiling Anna.
